Windflower Cakes is the creation of Paula Bock, culinary professional and gardener. From a young age, she found inspiration and developed skills from her father's gardening hobby and French mother's culinary talents. Inevitably, the art and craft of cooking, baking and growing real food has become her lifelong passion and work.

From 1995 until 2006, she thrived cooking savories and sweets at several outstanding farm-to-table restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area including Greens, La Toque, Terra, and Chez Panisse. Upon arriving in the Columbia River Gorge in 2007 to settle down and start a family, she baked and made custom cakes at Polly's Cakes, as well as cooked at Celilo Restaurant and Cultivate Catering, using the produce from the finest regional growers. With years of experience cooking and baking professionally, and personal relationships with local farmers, she has a seasoned palate for delicious foods and a true understanding of quality ingredients.

When she's not baking, running the business, meeting new couples, cooking for her own family or keeping up with the garden, she can be found rock climbing or trail running with her husband and 9 year old daughter (at the expense of basic household chores!)
